1. Potami Beach
Potami is stunning and easily accessible. You park right next to the beach, and there are two beach restaurants that have great food and beach chair service. Many bathrooms are available. See more details on Potami here.
2. Kaladakia Beach
This beautiful beach also has caves to explore. Beach chairs with service are available. Restrooms onsite. After parking, be prepared to walk a steep hill down to the beach.
This beach is almost always calm with very little waves. Be careful, it gets deep quickly! For more info on Kaladakia Beach, click here.
3. Votsalakia Beach
This is a very calm, long beach with dozens of restaurants lining it. Easy access from the main road, you can park anywhere. Many sets of beach chairs to choose from, and the restaurants have restrooms to use, as long as you order something.
4. Psili Ammos Beach – Eastern Samos (careful, there are two Samos Beaches with this name!!)
This beach is popular and unique for its fine sand! You park along the road and choose one of many sets of beach chairs.
Many restaurants provide beach chair service. Restrooms are in the restaurants.
5. Ireon Beach
An easy to find parking lot right along the beach makes this very easy to access. Tens of restaurants line the beach and plenty of shade and chairs to choose from!
6. Dorissa Bay
This is a high-end resort near Pythagorion with lovely, very calm water. The beach chairs are extremely comfy and have food/drink service.
The planes landing and departing from the nearby SMI airport will pass close overhead! Also, there is usually lively music playing.
You park at the actual resort and wind your way through the resort to the beach. Restaurant is in the beach front restaurant.
7. St. John’s Beach
This beach is a challenge to reach, but has a beautiful payoff! Driving there is tricky, you take a long dirt road down towards the Monestary of St. John, until the road abruptly ends.
Then, you hike down to the Monestary, and from there a short hike down to St. John’s beach. There is no natural shade, no restrooms, no food.
But if completely alone and remote is the vibe you’re looking for, this is the place for you!
8. Avlakia Beach
A lovely beach, especially for a beautiful sunrise swim! This is a beach that is right along the main road between Karlovasi and Vathi. The town of Avlakia has a small parking lot you can park at (Don’t park in the hotel parking lot – you will be ticketed!).
These beaches are narrow, and there are only a couple restaurants nearby. No restrooms, no umbrellas expect for the hotel.
9. Tsabou Beach
This is a wonderful beach with a restaurant onsite, great parking right by the beach (so you don’t have to hike down unlike nearby Navagos, Limonakia, etc)
Two sets of beach chairs exist – one free and one charged. They’re both great sets of chairs and have full food/drink service! Just depends on how much cushion you want.
10. Limnionas Beach
This lovely beach has extremely calm and shallow water with lots of nearby restaurants and restroom/changing room facilities. Easy parking!
11. Chrissi Ammos Beach – Southern Samos (aka the other Psili Ammos)
This beach went by Psili Ammos forever, but due to confusion with the other beach with the same name on Samos, they are trying to rebrand as Chrissi Ammos. Be careful when getting directions!
This beach is stunning. Sandy, very shallow, and calm. Great chairs and umbrellas available with full beach chair service.
Park up by the main road and be prepared to walk a ways down to the beach. Restrooms available in the two restaurant near the beach.
12. Klima Beach
Right next to Poseidonio, this is a hidden gem. Restaurants, easy parking, and scattered beach chairs make this beach easy to access.
13. Megalo Seitani – Samos Greece Beach Hike
Best for last! Megalo Seitani is a beautiful sprawling beach that is reached by boat or hike. Park at Potami beach, then hike for around 1.5 hours.
Halfway there, you will find a smaller beach (Micro Seitani) which is also lovely if you don’t want to take the whole hike!
There are no facilities of any kind at either beach and there is very limited shade. Bring tons of water!
