1. Agios Nikolaos

This unique, modern church built to look like a ship’s sail is a great photo subject itself. Its courtyard also happens to be one of the best sunset views on the island!

2. Potami Beach

Just a bit further down to road from Agios Nikolaos, Potami is a stunning beach with a large rock formation and sunset views. We had our wedding photos done there!

3. Kokkari

This is one of busiest and most touristy parts of the island for good reason! It has a stunning waterfront full of restaurants and bars, where you will have plentiful photo opportunities!

4. Pythagorion Waterfront

You can’t think of Samos Greece photo opps and not include Pythagorion! This is such as fun town with a beautiful port full of sailboats and waterfront restaurants. Don’t forget the famous statue of Pythagoras!

5. Vathy

The capital of Samos is Vathy (sometimes also called Samos). The town is gorgeous, especially from above. Follow the road away from Vathy towards Karlovasi, and you will find 2-3 scenic overlooks and pull-offs where you can get stunning pictures!

Within the town of Vathy, you can take some stunning pictures along the waterfront, or just venture deeper into the city for a picturesque labyrinth of homes, shops, and staircases!

6. Manolates

If you are looking to take a Samos Greece photo with a classic village feel, definitely check out Manolates. The winding lanes and traditional homes, restaurants, and shops make for great memories and pictures!

7. Hydrusa

This lesser known mountain town boasts one of the best sunsets on the island! You’ll especially love how it looks out over the vineyards, a unique photo for sure!

Best of all? The tavern of Hydrusa, where this photo was taken, has delicious authentic Greek food. One of our favorite restaurants on the whole island!

8. Ormos Marathokampos

Looking for a quaint waterfront with colorful trees and sailboats? You cannot do better than Ormos.

Another high up mountain town, Spatharei is unique in that it gives both sea and mountain sunset views!

10. Agia Triada, Karlovasi

This church sits high on a hill in Paleo Karlovasi. Both the walk up the church and the church’s courtyard are full of incredible photo opportunities.

This small town is nestled right on the water and faces stunning mountain formations across the beach. This is also a wonderful spot for sunrise photos and even a sunrise swim!
