The Revolution Hotel Boston | An Honest Review

July 4, 2025 · In: Blog, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Looking for the perfect hotel to stay in Boston? The Revolution Hotel is ideally located with access to all the essential activities in Boston!

Revolution Hotel Boston

We spent 3 nights at The Revolution Hotel Boston. Read our honest review!

The Revolution Hotel has so much quintessential Boston character. Inside the hotel, you’ll find all kinds of references to the history of Boston. You won’t find as much character and Boston references at your standard Hilton or Marriott property. Best part? This hotel costs significantly less than some of the other hotels in the heart of Boston.

The rooms were very clean, and spacious enough. We opted for a shared restroom setup with our own private rooms. This has a European vibe to it, and is a nice change from traditional American hotels.

Each floor has some kind of Boston theme. You’ll find plaques on the wall with references to various higher education colleges (Harvard & MIT). Some floors included references to technological inventions like the advent of the internet. Others had famous historical figures (Paul Revere, Ben Franklin, John F Kennedy, etc).

At the bottom level of the hotel, you’ll find access to a very nice gym. It is spacious enough and has cardio equipment and dumbbells. What I enjoyed most about this gym were the references to the Boston sports legends. Names like Russell, Bird, Pierce (Celtics), Brady, Gronk (Patriots), Garciaparra, Williams (Red Sox), Orr, and Marchand (Bruins). The restrooms in the gym area were also very thoughtful and the tiles were decorated and painted like the “T”.

The Surrounding Area: Restaurants, Cafes and Shops

There are a number of great restaurants, sandwich shops, and cafes in the area. For restaurants we recommend the The Beehive. The Beehive serves a delicious brunch on weekends. For a chic safe, we went to Greystone, and enjoyed fresh coffee. For lunch and incredible sandwiches, check out Berkeley Cafe.

Getting to The Revolution Hotel

To get to The Revolution Hotel, most tourists may choose a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. However, to get more of a local flavor and to save money, we recommend using the “T” (Boston’s public transportation system). The “T” is akin to New York City’s subway.

To get to the Revolution Hotel from the Boston airport, use the silver line. From the silver line, connect to the Orange line going towards downtown. Get off at the Dartmouth street “T” stop. You can find the Google public transportation directions HERE.

If you’re looking for a hotel that captures Boston’s character, The Revolution Hotel is the one for you!
